I'm coming back for you, baby!

She's back in pursuit of that coveted Galaxy crown, but this time round feels completely different! I last competed in the Galaxy system in 2017, before I had ever won a title and before I ever had any real life responsibilities. Returning to Galaxy after seven years, in a new division and as an actual adult with grown up priorities (no matter how much denial of that I may be in) is a very different kettle of fish to what I've been used to and, to be very honest, I LOVE IT!!!

Competing in pageantry is a labour of love and we put ourselves through a lot for the opportunity of being part of this amazing industry. For me, pageantry very quickly became a "need" in my life and was something that, in hindsight, I used as a source of validation, but coming back to pageantry after five years, a pandemic, two heartbreaks, becoming a homeowner, a dog mum and three years past thirty has really given me a new found love for it. It's now the "want" of a more rounded woman, more than the "need" of a naïve young girl, and I'm having so much fun with it.

Since I last competed, the landscape of pageantry has changed completely and I feel almost like a beginner again which is something that I thought would scare the living daylights out of me, but I'm actually finding it extremely exciting. I cannot wait to get back on that stage and fight for my dream title with a confidence that has come from the self-development and discovery that I've worked on over the last five years.
